Walk the Moon

Two finals down, one more to go tomorrow!

The stress of my Spanish Exam is over, so I took a moment to jam out to my favorite song at the moment.  It is just so cheerful and puts me in the mood for spring break/summer.  Introducing Anna Sun by Walk the Moon.  The band is actually from Cincinnati, Ohio.  I first heard them when they opened for Young the Giant and I have been in love ever since.  I have a feeling that they will become big here shortly, they are so amazing!  The video perfectly portrays how I feel today!

Finals Week

So, I haven't blogged in almost a week. not so good. I have been busy preparing for this dreaded week. Finals week.  Need I say more?  ugh

My load for finals isn't too bad since I took two online classes this quarter.  My Spanish class may be the death of me though.  I have been stressing out about it like no other.  I am not looking forward to taking it  tomorrow, but in the mean time I am just trying to stay positive and study a lot.

On the bright side, spring break is next week! Woo!!  I wish I was going to a beach where I could lay out all day and get extremely sun burnt.  Hanging out with my friends and enjoying the nice spring weather will have to suffice.

While studying consumes my life, I do have some studying essentials that I don't think I could live without.

Water - It is really important to stay hydrated. Since I gave up pop, I have noticed that I feel better and also my skin looks a lot better!

A Snack - I have been really into almonds lately.  I also really like granola bars.  Anything that curbs my appetite till I am ready to eat is good!

iPod - Music is a must for me while studying.  I think it helps me concentrate better.  If I'm not listening to my iPod then I am listening to Pandora on my computer.

Flashcards - Hands down the best way I learn.

Colorful Pens - Studying is much more enjoyable if it is in pretty colors.  These are absolutely my favorite pens.

It's All Fun and Games

Typically, when I want to take a break from studying I get out my handy dandy notebook iPad.  I usually check up on Facebook or Twitter to stay connected with the world.  Oh, who am I kidding?  I spend way too much time on both of those.

Lately, I have been into playing Words with Friends and Hanging with Friends.  They are new digital takes on Scrabble and Hangman and both very easy to play.  While I think both of these are great, it makes me miss playing actually board games!  Maybe I will convince my friends that we should have a throwback game night soon!

These are some of the games that I definitely miss the most:

scrabble!

Scrabble - It is such a classic.  I never played that much growing up, but if I had time now I would love to play and enjoy a hot latte. So classy.

Jenga

Jenga - I have been wanting to play Jenga for months now.  I just love the thrill of it.

Hungry hungry hippos!

Hungry Hippos - I am really reliving my childhood with this one.  Honestly, I am still a kid at heart, hence why I still love this game!

Monopoly

Monopoly - Who doesn't love a 12 hour game of Monopoly?!  The game always takes forever, but I think it is probably the most famous board game ever.

How Far I Have Come

Last year at this time, my life pretty much felt miserable.  I was struggling and was really unhappy with a lot of things.  Coming to Ohio State was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  The second best decision was to change my major from biochemistry to communication.  For a long time I thought I wanted to be a pharmacist, but it turns out it's not what I wanted!  It was a major decision and that in itself was really stressful.  All of the stress behind me, I am now the happiest I have ever been!

It has been a long journey to get where I am now and I could not have done it without the support of my friends and family.  I think it is funny how many people I have told about my major change and their exact words are "That's what I have always imagined you doing!" Funny how things work out!

Rainy Day Blues

After the beautiful weather on Wednesday, it has turned to ugly weather here.  It has been rainy and dreary and I heard it is supposed to SNOW on Sunday? say what???  I truly hope that the person that told me that was lying.  Oh how I love Ohio's unpredictable weather.  NOT

I actually curled my hair and looked semi cute for class today and then it started raining.  To make matters worse, I left my umbrella at home!  Nothing like getting pelted in the face by rain and going to class with extra frizzy hair.  Worst luck ever.

I own multiple umbrellas and really shouldn't buy another, but who can resist.  They are such an easy way to brighten up a rainy day! (You just have to remember to bring it!)
